Are you looking for an affordable way to get more customers? Hi I’m Carmen Sognonvi.
You may be living in the digital age, but that doesn’t mean that the printed paper is dead. In fact flyers, yes, good old fashion flyers are still a great way to get more customers on the cheap.
Keep watching cuz in this video I’m going to share with you my best tips on how to make business flyers, what should go on your business flyer, and once you’ve got them made, what to do with your business flyers.
By the way if you want to get a list of the 7 tools that I rely on to run all of the marketing in my business, which is Urban Martial Arts, check out Carmensognonvi.com/tools. There I’m going to share with you everything from who we use for printing and graphic design, down to an app that we use to track how our flyers are actually being distributed.
So the first thing you want to do is understand that there is a specific structure that a good flyer has, that has certain key elements, if you’re missing these elements, the flyer’s just going to be a pretty piece of paper. It’s not actually gonna cause you to gain new leads and new customers.
So the first element is the photo. Now, there’s a very specific way you should pick a photo for your flyer, and notice that I said “A photo” singular, that’s really important.
I go into all of that including what kind of photo to use, why it’s more important to use a single photo instead of multiple photos; I go into all of that in this video which you can check out. It’s a detailed guide on how to select the right photo for your flyer.
So the photo is the thing that draws people in to check out what your flyer is all about. Now once you’ve gotten their attention you want to really cash in and get them really engaged, and the best way to do that is to have a really compelling, irresistible offer.
Because what exactly is it that you’re offering? You want to have a very specific offer, that is going to cause the lead to want to call you right now, to take the next action, which we’ll talk about in a second as well. I’ve put together this video, that’s all about how to design a great offer for your flyer.
So now you’ve got your photo, you’ve got your irresistible offer, now you need to tell the prospect or the lead exactly what you want them to do next. As their holding this piece of
paper in their hands, what exactly do you want them to do in order to cash in on that offer?
Do you want them to call you? Do you want them to visit your website? There’s all kinds of ways that you can structure a call to action, but it is very important that you do have one, because otherwise the prospect is not going to take any action. So I’ve put together this video that shares with you four, I think it’s four, it might have been five different ways that you can implement a call to action on your flyer.
So you’ve got your three core elements in place, your photo, your offer, and your call to action. Now lets talk about how this flyer looks, because you want to make sure that the flyer is very engaging, and you also want to make sure that it looks professional. So if you’re using tons of comic sans font it’s just not going to be cute, right?
You want to put your best foot forward. So I put together this video that has some really great design tips that you should keep in mind when you’re making a business flyer. Everything from what kinds of fonts, or how many fonts to use, to what kinds of colors you should pick, and how to use color and size to actually bring a prospect’s attention to certain key elements on your flyer. So be sure to check that one out.
Okay, you’ve got your flyers designed, you’ve got the three key elements, you’ve got them all printed out, they’re in a box ready to go. Now what do you do?
Well check out this video, which is actually a presentation from a conference that I spoke at, in which I talk about exactly what you do with flyers. A lot of people think that flyering is this kind of dumb, old school tactic where you’re just mindlessly handing flyers out to anyone with a pulse.
The reality is, you can actually use flyers to do some really sophisticated demographic targeting, and also some really sophisticated geographic targeting. Which is perfect if you have a local bricks and mortar business as I do, right? Because you want to actually reach people that are in your immediate area.
So in this presentation I go through a lot of stuff. I share a lot of tips when it comes to old school marketing, among which are how to do this demographic and geographic targeting.
But you’re also going to find out other cool tips about how to use signage, and how to use event promotional booths at events like street fairs to also get the word out about your business.
So, it’s a long video, but I would definitely recommend you set about 20-30 minutes aside one day and watch the whole thing, because I can promise you’ll come away with some really great tips.
Okay, so if you found this video useful, I would encourage you to sign up to get email updates from me. You’ll get more great tips like this, just go to Carmensognonvi.com/newsletter and sign up there.
